With the returning of textbooks and the taking of finals, the last day of school is finally here. My notebooks are filled to the brim, and my backpack is laden with acquired information. It is a magical feeling when you fill up an entire notebook. Even if it's just trig notes, or doodles, it's satisfying none the less. As a child I used to be terrified that I would finish something, and then need it when there was nothing left. So, I never finished anything. Barely used markers, drawing books, containers of glitter. I was always saving it for that day when it would be imperative that I had it. Yet, as you can guess that day rarely came.
I can already tell you that summer will fly by. Filled with adventures, Netflix marathons, long days at the beach and debate camp (Just when you thought I was getting cool, you find out I'm a total nerd)
The next chapter of my life awaits to be opened, with the turning of 17 and the start of junior year. I'm both ecstatic and hesitant for it to begin, for it means the start of AP classes, and the search for college, but it also means the start of a new debate season, and the gaining of more knowledge to cram into my head.
Why I love The Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences (TSAS):
1. It is interesting
2. It prepares me for the future
3. It is a community where we can all come together for a common purpose (to rid the world of stupidity)
4. It is insightful, not only about certain subjects, but about who I am as a person and what I want to do with my life
5. It is allowing me to become an educated person
6. The teachers care about you, and will make you laugh if you're feeling down
7. Our "Lunch Dudes" play heavy metal during lunch
8. I've finally found people who are more interested in ones mentality than looks
9. My debate coach is awesome (how else would I place 2nd in state??)
10. It's as close to Hogwarts as it gets
